About the Designer
Masion Lipowa jewellery is designed and inspired by the journey of head designer and owner Natalia Lech. Born in Poland and having subsequently lived across the globe in Canada, USA, Mexico, the Bahamas, China, Hong Kong, United Kingdom & now Spain, Natalia’s jewellery is inevitably inspired by her memories of places and things she has encountered throughout her life and travels.
Nostalgia is a theme that strongly permeates throughout the brand, conjuring up idillic memories of childhood and teenage years in Poland. Natalia is inspired by the past. Memories, dreams, nostalgia are interwoven with symbolism, numerology, and myth.
“ I am always seeking beauty in the world around me. I am inspired by my memories of my childhood, by the stories of my parents youth and their past. I am inspired by nostalgia because in our memories, our past is always beautiful. It makes us see our world in rose-tinted hues. To me, beauty is most present in the simple things and in the everyday world around us. It is present in the harmony of nature and the harmony of our cosmos. For me, the act of creating is about capturing a memory, a moment, a thought, a vision and immortalizing it with precious metals and gems. Creating is the most amazing capacity we have as humas. To will things into existence. You can make your thoughts into objects, you can share them with others, they can live a life beyond you.” - Natalia Lech
Natalia’s journey with jewellery began in childhood starting with a fascination at age five with rocks and minerals. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Natalia had always been creating jewellery with beads, thread, clay and every other medium that sparked her creativity. Her journey in fine jewellery began with a stint working for a bespoke jeweler in Hong Kong. Since then Natalia had studied gemology at the GIA Institute, Jewellery Design at the Hong Kong Design Institute and has honed her jewellery design and making craft in jewellery schools and workshops in Hong Kong & Spain.
Masion Lipowa is is the fulfillment of a life long dream to create and share her creativity and tiny treasures with the world.
